Shortly after her birth, trademark agency de Merkplaats registered the name Catharina Amalia as an official trademark. As a result of this, Alphons Geerlings, director of de Merkplaats, was guest in the television program Barend & van Dorp, together with minister of Finances Gerrit Zalm.
