History

In 1984, Alphons Geerlings LL.M. and two university friends founded the trademark agency Regelrecht.

During the 16 years of its existence many developments took place and much was accomplished.
A client base was built up, comprised of a number of renowned companies, such as O'Neill, IDTV, XS4ALL, Macintosh, and Euronet Internet. Lectures were held all over the Netherlands, articles were published in trade magazines, conferences were attended abroad, etc. All in all, it was a very exciting time.

At the end of 1999, the long co-operation ended, and Alphons Geerlings, LL.M. decided to found the trademark agency de Merkplaats. It is located at the same site on the Herengracht in Amsterdam, and with the same client base. Our new team looks confidently to the future!
